"For this EP I wanted to show homage to all the true funkateers that were before my time. I sampled some of my favorite funk artists on this record, including: HERBIE HANCOCK, GINO VANELLI, ROY AYERS, KOOL & THE GANG and SMOKEY ROBINSON.

My aim with this project was to just make some fly laid back shit that people can get their grown and sexy on to. I wanted to channel real life shit I be going fru and into my music. Shout out to everyone that inspired me during the creation of this... SHOUT OUT TO THE DREAMERS, all the women in my life, the plants, the oceans, the FUNK, my family and also the haters... This is the year I'm gonna make big things happen.... I DO THIS 4 MY PEOPLE AND MY REASON IS THE FUNK... THE FUNK MADE ME DO IT....
